The first edition of Francesinha of the Month has a winner with a curious story. Mirone (@mirone_cachorrinhos), on Rua da Picaria in downtown Porto, was born as a Porto-style hot-dog spot — but it was its house-made-sauce francesinha that carried it to the top of this debut.
Over the period, Mirone posted the country's largest relative growth in reviews: from 331 to 374 (+43, +13%), while keeping its average rating at the top. Among the eight eligible spots in Porto, it rose the most — and the fastest sustained rise nationwide.
